Birchwood Tourist Park is a camping and caravanning site that is in an ideal position for exploring Dorset. Centrally located for visiting Bournemouth, Poole and The Purbecks. We are a family run Park centrally located within Wareham Forest. Open all year including over Christmas and New Year. We have a variety of pitches (grass, block-paved hardstanding or gravel), two toilet & shower blocks, shop, security barrier system, large separate games field, play area, a 2 foot deep paddling pool for the children & direct access into the forest for dog walks and general exploring.
Facilities at Birchwood Tourist Park include:
Free hot showers in the toilet/shower blocks and heated in the winter.
Wash up sinks (indoor and outdoor)
Chemical toilet disposal points.
Security barrier access system.
Direct forest access from the park.
Motorhome waste disposal point.
Launderette with washers and tumble driers.
Electrical hook-up point (10 amps supply) & 16amp on serviced pitches.
Fully serviced pitches available on block paved hard standing with gravel area for awning. Facilities include electrical hook-up 15/16 amps supply, TV aerial points, water tap, foul and grey water sewerage drainage providing environmentally friendly chemicals are used.
Plenty of grass area for tents without hook up.
Dogs admitted if kept on a short lead and well behaved while on site.
Self service shop and off licence.
Tourist information leaflets and book swap.
Children's play areas with 2 foot deep paddling pool and sand pit.
Large open area for ball games, kite flying and group games.
Games room with pool table and table-football (small hire charge).
Public pay telephone.
Free use of netball posts, tennis, badminton, on grass, pitch-n-putt, table tennis with your own equipment otherwise you can hire all you need.
Limited Wi-Fi available on some parts of the park (small charge for login code)
NB. Some facilities may not be available throughout the full season.
Caravan storage for customers that regularly use the park, undercover and outside - please enquire for availability and rates.
Rallies and Seasonal pitches by arrangement.
