Description

Mellington Hall Holiday Home Park is a family owned establishment set in 270 acres of lush park and farmland situated away from traffic on the scenic Powys/Shropshire border one mile off the main road up a beautiful tree-lined private driveway. You could easily come to Mellington and never leave, it is so tranquil. The beautifully landscaped grounds are lovingly maintained by our dedicated grounds staff which provide a unique rural retreat.

There is scope for all kinds of activities including cycling (we have E-bikes for hire) coarse fishing, walking (the Offa’s Dyke Path runs through our grounds) and there is direct access to dozens of local walks such as taking a stroll through our newly constructed woodchipped woodland walk which takes you through the Estate grounds and down to the bottom pool which is colour coded to guide you with ease. Or, you can simply relax and enjoy the peace and quiet and the abundant wildlife here at Mellington where ducks, swans and geese swim the pools, rabbits run freely and woodpeckers do their rounds of the trees. Kingfishers can also be spotted flitting between the trees and over the pools, so bring your binoculars!”

Mellington Hall Holiday Home Park consists of 117 static caravans all positioned on concrete bases. Each pitch receives computer controlled pumped spring water, modern certificated electricity supply and Freeview tv.

The magnificent Mellington Hall Hotel is just a short stroll away from the holiday park where you will be made to feel most welcome. Food is served from Wednesday-Sunday. Real ale is also on tap with an extensive wine menu. Delicious Sunday lunches are also served from 12.00 midday. Pop in for a coffee, or try one of our scrumptious afternoon teas and relax in one of our many comfy settees in front of one of five real fires. Dogs are most welcome.

Coarse fishing is available in the well-stocked pool. An up to date Rod Licence must be held.

There is a play area for children consisting of swings, slide, climbing frame and balancing beam which is adjacent to the Hotel where you can sit on our terrace and watch your children at play.

There is a lovely clean shower block with plenty of cubicles and free showers with hot/cold water and two wash hand basins. There is a ladies’ hairdryer available at the cost of 20 pence.

All roads and pathways are wheelchair friendly with all tarmac roadways which are well lit with subdued lighting.

At Mellington Hall there are 40 touring pitches available. Several of these pitches are let out on a seasonal basis to suit customer requirements, with beautiful views overlooking the pool and the lush parkland and the remaining pitches are for touring caravans.
