Lowther Holiday Park in Penrith, Cumbria is a 5 star rated campsite that provides the perfect setting for your touring caravan, motor home or tent, set within 50 acres of natural woodland on the banks of the River Lowther.
Lowther Holiday Park has plenty of space for touring caravans, motor homes and tents and to allow you to enjoy your stay at Lowther Holiday Park to the fullest; we do not have a set time for you to leave on your day of departure.
We also have 2 camping pods available to hire which include 1 Family Pod, sleeping up to 2 adults and 3 small children, and 1 standard pod which sleeps up to 2 adults and 1 child. Our pods are timber-built, connected to electricity and ready for you to use without the hassle of setting up a tent, providing protection from wind and rain allowing you to enjoy our beautiful surroundings, in warm comfortable accommodation.
Visitors can enjoy a meal in the onsite restaurant; The Squirrel Inn which also offers a comprehensive take away menu and live entertainment is on over selected weekends. The Squirrel Inn also boasts a family room, kids play area & beer garden and outside shelter is also provided.
We also have a spacious games room for the kids with a seating area with a TV, pool table, ping pong, air hockey and arcade games so plenty to keep them entertained whilst you enjoy a drink in the beer garden! Lowther Holiday Park also boasts 4 outdoor play areas for children.
Forgot something? No problem, the Lowther Mini Market is a large, family-run store conveniently located near the site office and stocks everything you could possibly need for a weekend away, including fresh and frozen foods, cupboard items, crisps, sweets, local meats, BBQ food and ice creams. As well a vast selection of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks and also medicines and toiletries and camping and caravanning accessories by well-known brands.
Lowther Holiday Park is situated in the beautiful Eden Valley with Ullswater (arguably the most attractive of the English Lakes) to the West. The Northern Pennines area of outstanding natural beauty and the road from Penrith to Alston (one of the worlds most beautiful road journeys according to top travel writers) to the East. The historic market town of Penrith with its range of speciality shops and the famous market is just two miles away. Other towns within Eden are Appleby-in-Westmorland, Kirkby Stephen and Alston. The scenic Settle-Carlisle Railway has a station at Langwathby about four miles from the Holiday Park.
