Cow Close Caravan & Camping offers touring and camping facilities in Leyburn, North Yorkshire. We are the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Our charming campsite is the ideal retreat for a relaxing and tranquil holiday. The site enjoys stunning views of Wensleydale, Pen Hill and beyond. We cater for caravans, motorhomes and tents. Onsite facilities include:
Hardstanding pitches with electric hook up.
Camping area.
Toilet and shower block with hairdryer and shaver point.
Washing up area.
Recycle points.
Wi-Fi Available.
We now have new camping pods to enjoy, the perfect alternative for those who don’t fancy the traditional camping experience. The pods come with 2 single beds, plus the option of converting these to a bigger platform to accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. All the pods include a fridge with a freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, USB charging point, crockery/cutlery and an electric heater.
We are a Welcome to Yorkshire cycling site and the local area is perfect for walkers and cyclists. You can walk on Tan Hill, England’s highest pub or walk along the river to Middleham or Wensley. For cyclists we are close to the 2014 Tour de France Route and the infamous Buttertubs pass. Neighbouring Swaledale is a brilliant place for mountain riders. Lots of excellent attractions are in the local area:
