Mollycroft Glamping is a wonderful showman wagon that can be found in a beautiful part of Somerset, at Gurney Slade near Radstock. Our glamping wagon dates back to 1949 and still retains much of its original mahogany interior.
It’s adorned with cut glass mirrors, chrome fittings and chandeliers. With additions such as a shower room and an outside deck area, staying here would surely make for a unique and memorable glamping holiday.
There are 3 very distinct rooms inside our glamping wagon. The first is the main living area which has a fully equipped kitchen, wood burning stove and upholstered seating. Through a sliding door you will reach the bedroom where there is a double bed and through another sliding door you will reach the washroom, here you will find a shower, hand basin and a compost toilet. The toilet uses the Swedish designed, ‘Separett’ system which cleverly separates waste to virtually eliminate all unpleasant odours. Ecological credits are enhanced even further by all the hot water in Mollycroft being harvested from rainwater.
Outside of the glamping accommodation we also have a seating area for those warmer days and a fire pit to keep you warm while sitting outside and watching the night sky. With a commitment to encourage green travel, we provide storage for bicycles. If you choose to travel by train, Mollycroft is just 10 miles from the mainline train station of Castle Cary.
Onsite we also have 2 self catering holiday cottages – see our website for more details.
Located on the Mendip Hills in Somerset, with easy access to Wells, Glastonbury, Bath and the wonderful Somerset countryside. Mollycroft is situated in her own private part of the garden. South and westerly views across the Mendip Hills landscape, enjoy the most wonderful sunsets.
Those who love golf will also be pleased to know that there are 3 golf courses nearby that offer 18 holes.
