Roey's Retreat Campsite is a welcoming, family and dog friendly site located just five minutes from the North Devon Coast. The site caters to both tents and tourers, offering a total of 25 grass pitches with a mix of electric and non-electric options. For those who prefer a touch of luxury, there is also a fully furnished bell tent available for glamping.
Children will love the onsite play park and for even more fun, the Milky Way Adventure Park is just a five-minute drive away. Clovelly Beach is also close by, providing the perfect setting to relax in the sun and enjoy the fresh sea breeze. Roey’s Retreat is ideally located for discovering the scenic charm of Devon, offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere that helps every guest feel at home. Open from April to October, the site is equipped with a variety of amenities to ensure a comfortable and stress-free stay, including fresh eggs from the resident chickens.
Guests have access to toilets, hot showers, an undercover seating area and a small shop stocked with essentials and alcohol. Camping equipment is also available to hire for those who may have forgotten something. Picnic benches are scattered throughout the site and BBQs and raised fire pits are permitted and available to rent, perfect for evening marshmallow toasting. For those wanting to eat out, there are three excellent pubs within a five-minute drive.
The campsite includes 13 non-electric grass pitches, each 6m x 6m with water hook-ups, suitable for tents, trailer tents, campervans and touring caravans. There are also 12 electric grass pitches of the same size, offering 10 amp electric and water hook-ups.
The bell tent provides a double bed and two singles with bedding, board games and a fridge stocked with essentials like bacon, eggs, bread and milk. Outside, guests can enjoy a private decking area with table and chairs, a cooking station with utensils and a cosy log burner. Shared facilities are just a short walk away and up to two dogs are welcome per pitch or in the bell tent, provided they are kept on a lead.
