Description

Foxhangers is a 90 acre "evolving" farm, with a canal-side wharf offering narrowboat and a marina of 40 boats at the base of Caen Hill Locks. Colin and Cynthia Fletcher welcome you to a relaxing holiday in our self-catering holiday mobile homes or on our campsite.

Our small campsite comprises two small paddocks, both of less than one acre. One of these which is slightly sloping is used for members of the Caravan & Camping Club while the other is used for tents. Six of the caravan pitches have electric hook-up and the shower and toilets are situated about forty yards from the field. Please note the electricity supply is suitable for lights, television etc., but not suitable for heaters, electric kettles and immersion heaters.

We have four mobile holiday homes pleasantly situated in the farm orchard among fruit trees and mature gardens and we hope you will agree this is borne out by the photographs. All our mobile homes have full central heating, double glazing and a high standard of insulation. There is a paved patio at the front, which means there are no steps from the car to the mobile home. Ample space for two cars to park.

We are situated beside the canal towpath, now an all-weather path suitable for cycling or a pleasant stroll. The flight of locks is one of the wonders of late eighteenth-century engineering and this provides a fascinating half-hour walk to Devizes.

Situated in central Wiltshire within easy reach of the famous stone circles of Avebury and Stonehenge. Wiltshire villages are a delight, the character changing throughout the county, according to local building materials. The Georgian city of Bath is only fifteen miles distant, Bradford on Avon smaller and less formal has a small-town charm while many people believe the Cathedral Close in Salisbury is an unequalled delight. All amenities are close by and are within 1 mile.

We do also offer B & B.
