Description

Located in the heart of Cornwall and surrounded by the rugged beauty of Bodmin Moor, our smallholding offers a peaceful and scenic escape. Situated near the picturesque village of Warleggan and overlooking the Glynn Valley, the setting provides a perfect backdrop for a relaxing rural getaway. We offer a range of camping and glamping options, allowing you to choose the style of stay that best suits your needs. Whether you're seeking a simple, close-to-nature experience or something with a little more comfort, you'll find the ideal base for exploring this stunning part of Cornwall.

Escape Pod
Escape the pressures of city life in our camping pod, the perfect base for cycling, horse riding, walking, or simply relaxing with Bodmin Moor right on the doorstep. Set in a peaceful rural spot with one acre of woodland to explore and a stream to unwind beside, the pod offers a tranquil off-grid experience with a touch of comfort. Inside, you'll find a cosy double bed with bedding and linen provided, a dining table with chairs and stools, a small bed settee suitable for one adult or two small children, as well as crockery and cutlery. While there’s no electricity in the pod itself, two battery-powered lights are provided for convenience. Just a short walk away, you'll have access to your own private facilities including a shower, toilet, wash-up area, kettle, fridge and coffee machine, completely separate from any other guests. For outdoor cooking, a fire pit with wood is provided, along with a raised slab for safe cooking outside, as no flames are allowed inside the pod. A barbecue can be provided on request and guests are welcome to bring their own camping stove.

Willow Bell Tent
Willow Bell Tent, measuring 5 metres in diameter, offers the charm of camping with the added comfort of a real bed and an already built tent. Set in the peaceful Lower Camping Field, away from the rush of daily life, it's a perfect spot to unwind, explore the nearby woodland, or sit by the stream while listening to the sounds of local wildlife. The tent includes a double bed with duvet, pillows and linen and two additional camp beds for children if needed (bedding not provided). While off-grid with no electricity or shower facilities, solar lamps and a cool box with refreezable ice blocks are provided, along with a small table, two chairs and a fire pit for cosy evenings. The tent shares the field with just one other camping pitch and has access to a compost toilet and a drinking water tap, offering a simple yet peaceful retreat in nature.

Lower Field
Relax beneath the shade of a majestic 150-year-old oak tree in our peaceful lower field, where you can truly unplug and let nature ease you into a slower pace. With just a few campers allowed at any one time, there’s plenty of space to enjoy the quiet and solitude. A drinking water tap and compost toilet are available and the setting is free from visible buildings or traffic noise, apart from the occasional distant tractor. Explore the nearby woodland, wander down to the stream for a paddle and watch buzzards gliding overhead. This is simple, off-grid camping with no electricity or showers, just the essentials and the beauty of nature all around.

Horses
We have three stables and two fields available for those who wish to bring along their horse, that often hard-to-accommodate companion. As horse owners ourselves, we understand how special it is to ride out on the Moor and we're happy to recommend routes to explore.

Visiting the Area
We offer an ideal base for your holiday, with the wide open expanse of Bodmin Moor right on your doorstep, perfect for walking, running, cycling, or horse riding. The moorland is not only rich in natural beauty but also steeped in history, offering a unique blend of landscape and heritage. Within a 40-minute drive, you can reach Cornwall’s rugged north coast, home to charming fishing villages like Padstow and popular surf spots. The Eden Project is just 30 minutes away, as is the stunning south coast, known for its hidden coves and quiet beaches. For local amenities and access to shops and services, Bodmin town is only a 20-minute drive.
