Frome Meadow Campsite in Moreton offers camping pitches near the picturesque River Frome. Nestled in our meadows near Dorchester, we are perfect for an idyllic holiday in Dorset.
Our campsite offers a private stretch of river, perfect for paddling or wild swimming. Camping is not allowed on the riverbank. The camping field is surrounded by woods and hedges, offering space for shade or sun. You can cook over a campfire in the tranquil green space in the middle of our family-run dairy farm.
Onsite facilities include 7 compost loos, 5 showers and a washing up sink and draining board. Please note there is no Wi-Fi but you do get a mobile signal.
Our campsite is just a short stroll from the river. Lots of grassy banks on the river offer spots for shade.
We are only a 15-minute stroll from Moreton, home to lots of cycle paths and walks. Moreton also has The Walled Garden which offers lunch or afternoon tea. Only 5 miles from us is the Jurassic coastline and lots of beautiful Dorset villages are nearby. The Tank Museum and Monkey World are only a few minute's drive away. Attractions to visit include:
Clouds Hill.
Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.
Dorset Museum.
Maiden Castle.
Athelhampton House & Gardens.
